Anthropological perspective in the household objects
Journal Title: Trilogía Ciencia Tecnología Sociedad - Year 2015, Vol 7, Issue 12
Abstract
This paper is aimed at becoming one of many possible starting points for the foundation of criteria to manage and understand the ‘household object’ -from an open and holistic approach- both as the result of a material culture that defines the human being in a historical, social and temporal context, and as the promoter and legitimizer of a series of scope, use, ownership and power relations. To achieve these objectives, a reviewing of theory and a reflection related to household object are carried out from the anthropological perspective in order to track any relevant links that underline its role as aesthetic carrier.
