ANTIWEAR EFFICIENCY OF BIOADDITIVES IN SELECTED BASE OILS

Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2010, Vol 231, Issue 3

Abstract

It has been determined that the criteria for the evaluation of antiwear (AW) and extreme-pressure (EP) properties of products obtained from post refining wastes and model lubricants (based on poly-α-olefines and esters) containing these products as additives. These criteria were used to designate the most effective additives to ecological base oils. It has been concluded that the most effective additive was a product obtained from post-refining slimes.
