ANTONYMIC EXPRESSION IN GERMAN RIDDLES

Abstract
In the article the specifics of antonyms in riddles are considered. Particular attention is paid to the peculiarities of using antonymous pairs to create the effect of opposition. As a result, there are a number of problems that can arise when translating texts containing such puzzles from German to Ukrainian. The article offers a comment on the solution of a particular problem.
