Application of microjet in heat treatment of aluminium bronzes
Journal Title: Archiwum Odlewnictwa - Year 2011, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
Mechanical properties of a CuAl10Fe4Ni4 bronze subjected to solution heat treatment and toughening were examined. In solution heat treatment, a microjet was used to raise the cooling rate. A slight increase of mechanical properties was observed.

Kinetics of hardening of ceramic layers applied in the investment patterns method
The work presents results of investigations of a hardening rate of ceramic moulds applied in investment patterns method. During the studies, the original method based on the ultrasonic technique, and a novel testing rout...
Quality stabilisation of synthetic sand containing bentonite in process lines
Stabilisation of sand quality requires the monitoring and control of sand moisture contents and its other parameters at each stage of sand processing, i.e. during the preparation of return sand mix and rebonding processe...
Assessment Criteria of Bentonite Binding Properties
The criteria, with which one should be guided at the assessment of the binding properties of bentonites used for moulding sands, are proposed in the paper. Apart from the standard parameter which is the active bentonite...
Non-metallic inclusions structure dimension in high quality steel with medium carbon contents
The experimental material consisted of semi-finished products of high-grade, medium-carbon structural steel. The production process involved two melting technologies: steel melting in a 140-ton basic arc furnace with des...
Effect of Magnesium Oxide Nanoparticles on Water Glass Structure
An attempt has been made to determine the effect of an addition of colloidal suspensions of the nanoparticles of magnesium oxide on the structure of water glass, which is a binder for moulding and core sands. Nanoparticl...
