Application of wavelet analysis for updating Heinrich events age
Journal Title: Геофизический журнал - Year 2015, Vol 37, Issue 1
Abstract
Results of studies of spectral components energy reconstructed in the central part of Greenland air temperature transformed sequence data investigation by using wavelet analysis by the data of ice cores have been presented. Oscillation with fixed period as well as non-stationary oscillations has been revealed. Heinrich events age has been updated. Wavelet analysis allowed to correlate events with concrete climate phenomena and to estimate energy of these phenomena.

Magnetic declination of the territory of Ukraine: the results of observations and calculations
A technology is proposed for calculating the strength and angular components of the vector of the induction of the Earth's magnetic field. The technology is based on the development of a three-dimensional model of the ea...
Modified additive-averaged splitting for solving three-dimensional equations of hydrodynamics
Hydrodynamic equations form the basis of modern ecological and meteorological mod¬els. The complexity of the implementation of such models is due to three-dimensionality and nonlinearity of the equations, as well as larg...
Domain structure of volcanics’ ferromagnetic grains: A case study of the Saatly ultradeep well, Azerbaijan
Various magnetic properties of magnetic minerals show strong grain-size depen-dence. This dependency occurs because these parameters are influenced by the magnetic grain-size (domain state) of the samples. Natural rocks...
Mafic dykes of Ingul megablock (Ukrainian Shield): relationship of surface and deep structures of the lithosphere, fault tectonics and geodynamics
Morphology, structure position, formation and dyke saturation of the swarms were ascertained. New dyke swarms of "second range" were established. Intersection areas of the dyke swarms "traces" were defined. They are cons...
Gongola Basin Geoid Determination using Isostatic Models and Seismic Reflection Data and Geophysical Interpretation
The application of Stokes’ formula to create geoid undulation requires no masses outside the geoid. Usually, a constant density of 2.67g / cm3 is used in the determination of the geoid which introduces error in the reduc...
