Journal Title: Health Science and Management - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
This study aims to explore the potential of figure skating in public health management by assessing its impact across physiological, psychological, and social dimensions of health. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis, the paper examines figure skating's effects on health-related physical fitness elements, such as cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and flexibility. Additionally, the study analyzes figure skating's positive contributions to psychological well-being, including enhanced sense of achievement and stress reduction, as well as its unique social attributes that foster psychological support and a sense of belonging. Findings indicate that as a multifaceted health-promoting activity, figure skating offers substantial benefits in physical fitness, mental adjustment, and social integration, laying a theoretical foundation for its role in comprehensive health management. In conclusion, while figure skating presents a promising approach to public health, further promotion will require ongoing improvements in facilities and resources for professional guidance.
