ASPECTS OF THE USE OF CONTINUOUS PASSIVE MOTION (CPM) – TRAINERS FOR PATIENTS’ RECOVERY AFTER OPERATIONAL TREATMENT OF THE ACETABULUM FRACTURES

Journal Title: Молодий вчений - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 53

Abstract

The article considers the use of CPM-trainers for the recovery of patients after surgical treatment of the acetabulum fractures. The aim, main tasks and principles of the use of CPM-trainers are determined. The efficiency of application of technical means for patients’ recovery after surgical treatment of the acetabulum is substantiated. A positive evaluation of the used machines for the passive motion of the hip joint in the early and late postoperative phases is set. After 14 days of intensive use of machines for the passive motion of the hip joint the results were obtained by Harris Hip Score in the first group – x = 25,4 points (S = 1.4 points), Me (25%; 75%) = 25 (25, 26) points, (p <0.01); in the second group, the results remained almost unchanged and equaled to – x = 13,1 points (S = 2.8 points), Me (25%; 75%) = 13.5 (10, 15) points, (p>0.05)
