Journal Title: Закарпатські філологічні студії - Year 2018, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
The article analyzes the concept EVALUATION from the standpoint of Cognitive Linguosynergetics. It gives a brief explanation how the notion “attractor”, which is primarily used in Chaos Theory, can be applied to Linguistics. To study the dynamics of the concept, four types of attractor models are used (point attractor, periodic attractor, quasi-periodic attractor, and strange attractor). The concept is viewed as a dynamic system that is directed to the attractors. The verbal attractors of the concept EVALUATION are represented by lexeme evaluation (point attractor model), lexemes good and bad (periodic attractor model), synonymic row assessment, estimation, judgment, valuation, appraisal (quasiperiodic attractor model), and lexeme bigly (strange attractor model).
