Attitude Effectiveness of Short-Term Period Coaching from Perspective of Sport Management Professors, Athletic Trainers and Expert Athletes

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to attitude effectiveness of coaching short-term period from perspective of sport management professors, athletic trainers and expert athletes. It was conducted descriptive-analytical. Statistical population of the research included entire professors of physical education management, athletic trainers and expert athletes in Tehran. Size of the case study consisted 40 professors, 50 team trainers and different sport fields, totally 140 people. There was used simple random sampling. The data was collected by the researcher-made questionnaire. The questionnaire was set based on Kirkpatrick Theory and Model to assess the effectiveness of short-term training courses. The questionnaire justifiability was confirmed by nominal trust and its reliability was 0.89. There was used SPSS software to analyze data. There have been used Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, Lune Test, Independent F-Test and post hoc LSD test. Results showed that there is a significant difference between perspective of professors, trainers and athletes about effectiveness of short-term training courses, as which trainers and athletes have proper vision on effectiveness of the courses, but sport management professors believe that the coursed are not effective.
