Journal Title: INNOVATIVE ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT - Year 2020, Vol 7, Issue 3

Abstract

In order to discuss the need for control and its impact, we have chosen the tourism sector as a research object, more specifically the accommodation facilities, which are presented in the form of hotels and hostels. The research was focused on the hotel industry as one of the dynamically growing fields. The main goal of the research is to find out what kind of mechanisms do managers use to control hotel staff and how employees react to such control. The aim of the study is to determine the effectiveness of each type of controls used in the hotel industry, the expectations of employees towards the controls performed and the attitude of staff towards it. The novelty of the study is that study of control is not widespread in the sectors of a particular field. Based on the objectives of the study, the method of triangulation research was chosen because the aim was to study the impact of control on organizational processes as a social phenomenon. Based on research and findings, we have developed recommendations, the use of which will contribute to the success of hotel facilities and ensure the achievement of the goals.
