Abstract
In article are analyzed the international standards in sphere of the organisation and activity of legal profession and scientific views on their understanding. Іnvestigated historical stages of adaptation of the domestic legislation to standards of the Council of Europe in sphere of legal regulation of institute of legal profession, is carried out the analysis of the maintenance of resolutions and recommendations of the Council of Europe and the European Union in the specified sphere. Defined the further directions of reforming of legal profession in Ukraine.
