Barriers to health access in compliance with the vaccination schedule for children under 5 years of age

Abstract
Introduction:access barriers are the reported reasons for not seeking health care and are related to availability, accessibility and acceptability, consequently it can affect the attendance of children at health centers for the application of vaccines. Objective:To determine the barriers to access to health and its effect on compliance with the vaccination schedule in children from 0 to 5 years of age. Materials and methods: descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional research, established by 232 parents of childrenunder 5 years of age treated at the Durán Health Center vaccination clinic from January 2 to June 2022. For data collection, the survey technique was applied, The questionnaire with a Cronbranch Alpha reliability of 0.9 was used as an instrument. To test the study hypothesis, the Chi-square statistical test was used with a significance level of 0.05. Results:69.83% present incomplete vaccination schemes, highlighting the acceptability barriers; technical language 67%, accessibility; the frequency of mobilization 81%, availability; number of professionals 66.38%, among the endogenous reasons for non-compliance include not attending on the established date, forgetting the date and subsequent reactions. Conclusion:No statistical relationship was found between health barriers and compliance with the vaccination scheme, however, a large percentage of children with an incomplete scheme, the parents stated that they disagreed with the sanitary infrastructure of the vaccination
