Journal Title: International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Reserach - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
There has been a recent trend to brand vivax malaria as a complicated one. A number of case reports are being published enumerating complications of vivax malaria. Although there is no doubt that complications can occur with any disease, however in comparison to falciparum malaria, complications in vivax malaria are only exceptions and not the rule. Besides a number of co- existing viral infections may also give rise to these complications, a number of which, we are unable to diagnose with the present level of investigations.
