BIODEGRADABLE HYDRAULIC OIL WITH IMPROVED LUBRICATING PROPERTIES

Abstract
The test results of hydraulic oil with viscosity grade VG 46 manufactured on a base of vegetable oil were presented. Their lubricating, physicochemical and ecological properties were studied. Due to existence of antiwear and antiscuffing additives in oil, results were referred to the standard PN-C-96057-6 “Machine oil used to hydrostatic machine scheme. Machine oil L-HV.” Tested oil is characterised with the high level of lubricating and viscosity-temperature properties. Lubricating properties of the oil were tested according to the standard and additionally were tested using a non-standard method employing a T-02 device. Thermooxidant stability of oil was also studied. It was stated that hydraulic oil based on vegetable products accomplish the requirements of the standard appropriate for oils with L-HV class. It proves the high antiwear and antiscuffing, adhesivetemperature, corrosive, antifoam and thermooxidant properties of the oil. It can be used in highly-loaded hydraulic systems, which work in different climatic conditions, e.g. in agricultural and forest systems.<br/><br/>
