Abstract
The article submitted theoretical and methodological foundations of Ukrainian prose 20–30-ies of XX century, focuses on the fact that Ukrainian writers 20–30-ies of XX century sought to update the content and form their own artistic creations. Most artists are beginning to write words on the events of the revolution and civil war. Some works such topics were full pathos of the struggle for a new world and a new man.
