Abstract

These complications include: gastrointestinal reflux, dystrophy, functional dysphagia, overeating. The phenomenon of "breasting" father is a father’s attitude which consists in trying to take over the role of the mother in the process of feeding the child and brilliant attempts to grab the maternal zone in the care of an infant with his resignation from the father’s zone.MethodsThe authors describe the phenomenon presented on the basis of the documentation: spplication interviews, history therapy, session recording. Their thoughts are also based on theoretical considerations stemming from psychoanalysis.ResultsAs a result of trace and analyze interviews with parents of young children regarding food intake, the authors observed a phenomenon piersiującego father. Conclusions“Breasting” father can affect eating difficulties in children. His role is often mediated by the mother's feeleings as the main child’s feeder. Despite the change in the social role of the father image it appears to be vital to maintain diversity in the roles of mother and father in the first period of a child's life.
