BUDGET FINANCING OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of financial support for the development of higher education institutions at the state level, as well as the study of main trends in the development and structure of public financing of higher education. Statistical study of main indicators of financing higher education in Ukraine is carried out and the structure of expenditures by sources of financing is studied. The number of students by sources of financing their education in terms of regions is analyzed. A new mechanism for budget financing proposed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in terms of its future use in practice is considered. The importance of effective functioning higher education institutions for the transformation of the economy on a market basis and further socio-economic development of the state is proved.
