Budowa łącznic kolejowych w Krakowie i Suchej Beskidzkiej

Abstract
The construction of both railway junctions could undoubtedly improve the conditions of the train journey from Krakow to Zakopane. In addition, increased the potential of this route could be a hope for the authorities of the Malopolskie voivodeship as well as railway operators, to make propose for passengers to choose a rail instead a car one to travel Podhale region as in the past. It is worth to note that PKP PLK is going another investments related to the improvement of the rail infrastructure on this route. As a result, the train travel time will be even more competitive in comparison to the car transport. In addition, the construction of a motorway is planned from Krakow to Zakopane. Therefore, the next stage of railway investments should be the construction of a completely new railway line to Zakopane.
