Journal Title: INKĪSHĀF - Year 2021, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

New atheists have given a rise to atheism across the world and also in Muslim countries. They are promoting atheism using philosophical and scientific arguments against all religions of the world, especially Islam. They use aggressive tune for propagating their ideology. This is a qualitative study in which the Sam Harris’s objection that burden of paradise is causing terrorism and extremism in religious societies is analyzed in Islamic perspective. For this purpose, data is gathered from secondary sources;books, articles and online sources. The study explore that there is no burden of paradise on Muslims. In addition, the idea of heaven is dislike a burden, but rather, it is the gift of Allah and a wellspring of endless satisfaction and soothe. Sam Harris sees paradise as a burden, in any case talking, there is no concept of burden of paradise, rather Allah (SWT) has shown us two paths, which of them, one courses prompts paradise and alternate prompts the hell fire, now, it is thoroughly up to us, it is possible that we choose the way of paradise or the horrendous way of hell. Allah mentions that if somebody obeys to Him and does good deeds, he would be admired and would be sent to Paradise, we can say that Allah has given us two options. Essentially, one cannot accomplish the affectation of Allah by doing horrendous and savage acts; Allah unambiguously specifies in the Holy Qur’an that one cannot execute others without any valid reason which is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and Hadith. Firstly, there is no burden of paradise at all, as per the Islamic doctrines. Secondly, God has made stringent rules and merits for paradise. Thirdly, it looks that Sam Harris just wants to disrespect and profane Islam and Muslims.
