Abstract

Islam has laid downrules and duties for man and woman to run a family smoothly. However, at present, divorce rate is rising in Pakistani society. The reason behind this is following of Westren and Indian culture through social media by our women and neglecting Islamic teachings to run family affairs. This is a novel study in this regard to analyzing current situation of family system. The objective of study is to aware women with the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah regarding family affairs. This is a qualitative research and data is gathered through primary and secondary sources. Primary sources include Qur’an and Hadith whereas secondary sources include books, articles and online sources. Through TV dramas and movies foreign culture is being imported in Pakistan. Because of this, women do not respect properly to husbands according to Islamic teachings. Moreover, woman is negligent about domestic affairs. Furthermore, a woman is not playing its rule properly to teach religious norms and values to children due to spending excessive time on electronic media. This is verse situation, in which family system is being destroyed as it has been in Westren societies. So, it is dire need to motivate woman to study and follow Islamic teachings and avoid adopting Westren and Hindu life styles.
