Abstract
The article focuses on the discussion of the motif of tempest in Vasil Tkachuk’s novella under the same title. It is doubtless that the tempest symbolizes not only the force of the nature, but also the human emotions. V. Tkachuk masterfully captures the essence of a raging thunderstorm, which is being compared with an internal world of the characters with the use of various stylistic means.
