Can Base Patient Monitoring System

Abstract

This paper deals with CAN technology to sense and transfer the data related to patient health problem. So, efficient medical services can be provided to the patient in appropriate time. The project is working model which will be incorporated with sensors to measure parameters like Body Temperature, Patient emergency call alarm system and Saline status control. A microcontroller board is proposed to use for analyzing the inputs from the patient and any deformity felt by patient causes the monitoring system to give an alarm. All the process parameters within an interval selected by the user will be recorded online. This data will be transferred to the receiver by the CAN protocol which is having very high data rate up to 1Mbps. Hence patient health condition can be analyzed by doctors in any part of hospital. At present this kind of high speed and continuous patient monitoring is not implemented, so this can be achieved by CAN technology.
