‘Cash Pooling’ as a Modern Strategy for Liquidity Management in a Holding Company

Abstract
Cash pooling is an indispensable instrument for maintaining corporate liquidity of a holding company with the objective of improving financial effectiveness of its individual entities. Insuring corporate financial liquidity exacts the maintenance of certain levels of ready capital as this capital fulfills the conditions for flexible response in the case of financial liquidity endangerment. The loss, or costs, on maintaining ready capital in current accounts may be reduced by taking advantage of support management techniques which are offered by banking institutions. This treatise presents the conditions for the exercise of cash pooling services as a management strategy for maintaining a holding company’s financial liquidity.
