Cellular automata in calculation of telecommunication towers natural frequency
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 4, Issue 7
Abstract
The main goal of this work is to investigate the use of cellular automat for determination of telecommunication towers natural frequency. In this research, using modal analysis and SAP2000 software, tower natural frequency is studied at the first ten modes. Then, using two and three state one-dimensional cellular automata, provided samples at first mode were analyzed to find simulation rules for telecommunication tower natural frequency. For that, using provided two and three state one dimensional automata algorithms and seven parameters including base cross section, height of floors, truss inner and outer radius, guys inner and ratio, young´s modulus and density for 100 towers in programmed model (C++), considered models were compared to other 100 samples and their error percent were provided for natural frequency in SAP2000.
