Cervical tuberculosis mimicking malignancy: an unusual presentation

Abstract
A 25 year old multiparous lady presented to Gynaecology outpatient department with complaint of foul smelling discharge, on and off pain abdomen and postcoital bleeding for last one year. Per speculum examination revealed growth on the cervix that was bleed on touch. A provisional diagnosis of carcinoma cervix was made but histopathological examination of specimen from cervical growth revealed tubercular granuloma. Patient responded to 6 months of antitubercular drugs and histopathology confirmed absence of granuloma.
