Abstract
Unexpected changes in the organizational environment, including technology, customer choice, corporate culture, and the actions of competitors may cause uncertainty in the business environment. When environmental uncertainty cannot be managed, corporate strategies cannot be implemented, organizational efficiency decreases, and the sustainability of the business is negatively affected by falling behind the competitors. In today’s complex and dynamic business world, minimizing environmental uncertainty and adapting to environmental uncertainty are essential for businesses. Adaptation is the ability of a business to adapt its market strategies and business design to changes in the environment to meet various business challenges. The significant thing is that businesses increase their capacity to adapt by acting proactively despite the changes in the environment. In this context, this study aims to explore the strategies of companies to cope with environmental uncertainty by investigating the relationship between environmental uncertainty and adaptation. To this end, the study that was prepared by relevant literature argues that the correct analysis of the internal and external environment in the adaptation of businesses to environmental uncertainty, integrating flexibility and learning organization approach into business culture, and establishing strategic alliances may help businesses in adapting to environmental uncertainty
