Challenges in Learning Information Communication Technology, Self-Management Skills and Pupil's Performance in EPP

Abstract

The study is conducted to find out the challenges in learning Information Communication Technology, self-management skills and pupil's performance in EPP. This study is a descriptive correlational design which utilized survey questionnaire to gather the perception of 170 Grade 5 students of Crisanto Guysayko Memorial Elementary School. There is a significant positive correlation between the student performance and the challenges encountered by the students in learning ICT. It gives a good result that the learning in Information Communication Technology increases. There is a significant positive correlation between the student performance and the challenges encountered by the students in self-management skills. It only implies that self-management skills are well managed by the students through organized schedules and can focused on their goals. School administrators and concerned teachers may request to the respective division offices about the needs of the students in terms of learning information communication technology. Teachers may have different trainings that will make them more competent and more equip in executing different lessons in ICT. Parents may be given proper jobs that will support their children in different school activities that will motivate students to do more school related activities. Continuous implementation of the effective teaching strategies and activities that developed the learning of all students. Collaboration from teachers, parents and school administrators was good to have a better understanding and feedbacks to the needs of the students to improved more the ability and knowledge in terms of ICT learning that will help them in the near future.
