CHANGING THE PARADIGM OF GERMAN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION AND SCIENCE AS A RELEVANT RESPONSE TO THE CHALLENGES OF THE MODERN INFORMATION SOCIETY

Abstract

The author notes that the guarantee of the technological innovation of university education in the conditions of the modern information society is the preservation of the epistemological foundations of education, in particular the anthropologization and discursiveness of knowledge. Disciplinary dispersion of knowledge prevents an individual who is engaged in cognitive activity, to identify feedback. The task of education is to teach students to contextualize their knowledge, to see the interdependence of parts and the whole. Such an approach should help an individual to clarify the complexity and diversity of the world in which he exists. Such a methodological and ideological shift is connected with the introduction of the subject to the reality interpretation: the individual acts not merely as a subject who, together with others, forms a picture of the world, but also acts as an active participant in all social and natural processes, is a starting point in any knowledge of the world. In order to survive, preserve its essence, national-cultural identity and certain elitism, the German university must adapt to the conditions of the modern complex world and return to its old, but at the same time, main principle of activity − carrying out infinite search for truth through its joint creation by both the main subjects of the educational process.
