Characterization of Iron and Low Alloy Steel Powders Obtained by Water Atomization
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2009, Vol 32, Issue 1
Abstract
Three types of iron and low ally steel powders were investigated to determinate their physical properties and surface morphology by SEM analysis. The powders were obtained by water atomization. The first type of powder is an iron powder (P1) and low alloy steel powders. Frequently, the alloying elements are copper, nickel and molybdenum (powders P2 and P3).

The Influence of Speed Cooling on Some Properties of Laminated Steel
This study presents a possibility to predict the connection between the cooling regime and the properties of steel. An important factor to enhance the properties of steel is the speed of the cooling regime. To be in acco...
Research on the Operation of Commercial Vessels with Compressed Air
Regarding the reduction of the carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere, this paper is going to present a system of propulsion with compressed air used for medium-sized commercial vessels. In the transport domain, Roma...
Some Aspects Regarding the Influence of the Tribologycal Factors on the Superficial Layers of Treated Steels with Plasma Nitriding
Some 38MoCrAl09 (SAE 4038) steel grade samples were subjected to plasma nitriding treatment regimes. The structural and diffractometric aspects of the superficial layers of the steel are studied after the wear tests by f...
Aspects Regarding the Constitutive Equations for FEM Analysis of Advanced Metal Forming Processes
The main aim of this paper is to review some different models, from simple to very complicated, for computing the changes in flow stress depending on the deformation conditions. Some of the models can be applied to cold...
Producing Bimetals by Direct Melting of the Bronze Machining Chips into Steel Supports
The bimetals can satisfy some requests of the working conditions impossible to be obtained using one single metallic material. The bimetallic pieces are obtained by the different production methods by covering of a steel...
