CIRCLE AS AN ELEMENT OF SPACE IN A. REMISOVʼS NOVEL “THE POND”

Abstract
For the author's world of A. Remizov as an artist of the transitional, crisis era of the late 19th - early 20th century is characterized by an appeal to myth, symbol, and ritual. Space and time acquire ontological significance in the writer's work. They always update the author's model, interest in the real and transcendental. Symbolics and, at the same time, the semantics of space, actualizes the connection between the author-reader and the text. The article features the symbolism of the circle as an element of space in A. Remizov's novel “The Pond” (1908).
