Abstract
Sensor webs consisting of nodes with limited battery power and wireless communications are deployed to collect useful information from the field. Gathering sensed information in an energy efficient manner is critical to operate the sensor network for a long period of time. Sensor webs consisting of nodes with limited battery power and wireless communications are deployed to collect useful information from the field. Gathering sensed information in an energy efficient manner is critical to operate the sensor network for a long period of time. Three major factors that affect data aggregation in wireless sensor networks are Network lifetime , Scalability and load balancing. Thus there are many existing work on energy efficient data gathering in wireless sensor networks like Pegasis, Leech and Treepsi. In this paper we have proposed a new energy efficient cluster based protocol that combines features of both Trees based and Cluster based architecture.
