Comparative analysis for implementation of progressive system while executing imprisonment for a fixed term in Ukraine and Norway

Abstract
The article presents a comparative analysis for implementation of progressive system while executing imprisonment for a fixed term in Ukraine and Norway. The author has made a conclusion that penitentiary law and practice in Ukraine have three forms of progressive system while executing imprisonment for a fixed term (the change of conditions for serving imprisonment, the replacement of an unserved part of punishment to more lenient type of punishment, conditional release). While in Norway, there are only two forms of progressive system while executing imprisonment for a fixed term – the change of conditions for serving imprisonment and conditional release.
