COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF ANTIFIBROTIC TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEPATITIC C BEFORE AND AFTER COMPLETION OF ANTIVIRAL TREATMENT

Abstract
Th e study of fi brotic process dynamics in the liver of 27 patients with chronic hepatitis C without cirrhosis signs aft er completion of antiviral therapy, as well as in 10 patients without antiviral treatment, has been conducted. A signifi cant acceleration of liver function normalization, reduction of infl ammatory index and fi brotic alterations induced by hepatitis C virus have been determined in the patients who had taken bicyclol.
