Comparison of dehumidification performance of two liquid desiccants

Abstract

The dehumidification performance of LiBr aqueous solution and LiCl aqueous solution was tested in packed-bed dehumidifier. A series of experimental dehumidification data of the two desiccants were obtained and two experiential formulas were fitted according to the testing data. The dehumidification performance of the two desiccants was compared based on the formulas in the same conditions which refered to the conditions with the same device, the same air flow rate, the same air inlet parameters, the same solution mass flow rate, and the same equivalent solution inlet parameters (same temperature and vapor pressure). The dehumidification rate of LiCl aqueous solution is higher than that of LiBr aqueous solution.
