Computational Study on Effect of Microwave Induced Hyperthermia on Breast Tumor
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 5
Abstract
In the present research, microwave induced hyperthermia technique was used as a solution, for the treatment of breast tumor of volume 561300 mm3. Techniques like chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery are generally used for the treatment of tumor. The present work describes the simulation carried on actual tumor images obtained from MRI scans of the breast. An optimized heat input (1W - 4W) was selected for constant frequency with respect to transient response Analysis is done on 2D finite element generated pathological human tissue containing tumour. The operating frequency of the antenna is 2.4GHz. Heat is generated using microwave induced hyperthermia and simple methodology of finding effective model parameters for the optimal interstitial microwave hyperthermia treatment is determined.

Structural and Droptest Analysis of Helicopter Landing Skids
Landing skids of Helicopter are directly attached to the helicopter structure. These skids should be able to withstand buckling of struts, stresses &strains. So in the current study, we will consider a Composite material...
Modelling, Analysis and Simulation for A 6 Axis Arm Robot by PID Controller
This paper presents a simulation analysis on kinematics and control of a robot arm using a Proportional integral derivative (PID) controller. Robotic arms are from a series of lightweight, fast, easy to program, flexible...
Optimisation of WEDM Parameters Using Taguchi Method and Fuzzy Logic Technique for Al-6351
Optimization is one of the techniques used in the manufacturing sector to achieve best operating conditions, which is essential for industries to provide quality stuff at subordinate outlay. This paper aims investigation...
Design and Testing of Rocket Motors with Composite Propellants
In space missions, satellite launchings and missiles for army applications, solid rocket motors plays a major role. As we know that the thrust produced by the rocket engines only gives the forward motion to the rocket bo...
A Preliminary Evaluation to Support DfD of Handcrafted Products
Both economical and environmental aspects significantly influence the design process since the early phases of preliminary design. The total Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)and the End Of Life (EOL)of products have to be defi...
