Computational Study on Effect of Microwave Induced Hyperthermia on Breast Tumor
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 5
Abstract
In the present research, microwave induced hyperthermia technique was used as a solution, for the treatment of breast tumor of volume 561300 mm3. Techniques like chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery are generally used for the treatment of tumor. The present work describes the simulation carried on actual tumor images obtained from MRI scans of the breast. An optimized heat input (1W - 4W) was selected for constant frequency with respect to transient response Analysis is done on 2D finite element generated pathological human tissue containing tumour. The operating frequency of the antenna is 2.4GHz. Heat is generated using microwave induced hyperthermia and simple methodology of finding effective model parameters for the optimal interstitial microwave hyperthermia treatment is determined.

RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT OF COOLING WATER PUMP
The project presents an idea of analyzing the stress concentration occurring on the shaft. In the centrifugal pump, there are frequent failures of the shaft during operation, due to which it leads to a breakdown or stopp...
Experimental Investigation of Exhaust Heat Recovery in Petrol Engine using Nano Enhanced PCM
About thirty percentage of the heat released during combustion process is carried away by the exhaust gas formed inside the internal combustion engine. This waste heat can be extracted through exhaust gas recirculation s...
Theoretical and Numerical Estimation of Sound Power from Out of Plane Modes of a Free Annular Circular Plate Having Parabolically Varying Thickness
In this study, the sound radiation characteristic of an annular circular plate with parabolically varying thickness with different taper ratios and different excitation locations are analysed. The mass of the plate is kep...
FEA Analysis and Optimization of Two-Wheeler Bike Mono Suspension System
Most of the Indian roads are pathetic in nature and 2 wheelers are the worst hit of this. So it is very essential to have a very good suspension system for the 2 wheeler to avoid accidents and improve the ride quality Th...
