CONCEPT OF CONSTRUCTION OF POWER CIRCUITS OF A MULTILEVEL MODULAR CONVERTER AND ITS TRANSISTOR MODULES
Journal Title: Електротехніка і Електромеханіка - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 6
Abstract
Goal. The goal of the paper is to study the peculiarities of building power circuits of a modular multilevel converter (MMC) of electrical energy for DC transmission lines, to investigate its operating principles and basic characteristics. Methodology. We have applied the theory of electrical circuits and mathematical simulation in Matlab package. Results. A Matlab-model of the MMC power circuit was constructed with shunting of all the shoulders by current sources, which made it possible to check the correctness of the formulas for the characteristics of the proposed circuits. Originality. Variants of power circuits of MMC with shunting of all shoulders of the converter by current sources are offered. The tables of states of HB and FB modules for forward and backward direction of the current of the shoulders are made. Practical value. The use of the proposed structure of the converter power circuit and the algorithms of operation of the power transistor modules will help to determine the scope of their application, will help in the synthesis of the control system and analysis of possible emergency modes of the MMC.

COMPARISON OF CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONVERTER-FED MOTOR AT SUPPLY FROM THE SINGLE-PHASE NETWORK AND FROM THE SOURCE OF THE DIRECT CURRENT
Purpose. Now even more often in various cars and mechanisms converter-fed motors are used. Their comparative characteristics with motors which are supplied from a network of a direct current are necessary for definition...
COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ACTIVE POWER LOSSES OF INDUCTION MOTORS WITH CYLINDRICAL AND AXIAL AIR GAPS
Purpose. To find the analytical expressions of determining the optimum geometric dimensions by criteria of the losses minimum of axial field squirrel-cage induction motors and to compare traditional and axial field motor...
ELECTROMAGNETIC VIBRATION DISTURBING FORCES AT THE ECCENTRICITY OF ROTOR OF TURBOGENERATOR
Electromagnetic vibration disturbing forces in different variants of the rotor displacement from an axis of the stator bore is car-ried out. Investigation for ТG type ТGV-200-2 by finite element method in COMSOL Multiphy...
THE NORMALIZATION METHODS OF THE STATIC GEOMAGNETIC FIELD INSIDE HOUSES
In the paper, we show the necessity of normalization of the static geomagnetic field (GMF) inside high-rise frame-monolithic houses to safe values (90% of the natural rate at least). Massive ferromagnetic construction of...
TRANSIENT HEATING OF MOVING OBJECTS
A mathematical model of transient and quasistatic heating of moving objects by various heat sources is considered. The mathematical formulation of the problem is described, examples of thermal calculation given.
