CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO THE INTERPRETATION OF THE ESSENCE OF ENTERPRISE STAFF COMPETITIVENESS

Abstract

Introduction. Staff competitiveness is one of the most important categories of HR management, which defines its organizational and functional principles. However, there is no single point of view among scientists about the essence of this category causing the differences of theoretical concepts for it interpretation. Some differences in the researching subject and object, generate controversial goals and directions of personnel development. Deciding this problem requires generalization of relevant theoretical knowledge and views. Methods. The research is based on the methods of theoretical generalization, abstract and logic, analogy, comparison etc. Results. It has been analyzed the differences and similarities of such categories as "workforce competitiveness", "worker competitiveness", "staff competitiveness." The content of conceptual approaches to the interpretation of staff competitiveness is described. Particular attention is paid to the characteristics of competence approach, based on the one of the key concepts of personnel management - the competence concept. The authors' vision on the main groups of workers competencies is presented and the structure of the staff competitiveness is developed. The essential characteristics and importance of staff competitiveness regarding various economic levels are defined. Discussion. Systematization of the staff competitiveness concepts forms the theoretical basis needed to creation and an effective implementation of the development strategy of highly qualified personnel at the all managerial levels.
