CONSTITUTIONAL GUARANTEES OF SOCIAL STANDARDS IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article analyzes the meaning of the concepts of subsistence minimum and minimum wages in the context of ensuring the rights and freedoms guaranteed to citizens by the Constitution of Ukraine. A new definition of these concepts is proposed due to the prism of ensuring the minimum social guarantees of the state and their implementation in the legislation. The amendments to laws that define the meaning of the concepts of living wage, wages, minimum wages and guarantees of its provision are formulated. The optimal correlation between the subsistence minimum and the minimum wage based on the Human Development Index, the Law of Ukraine and the ILO Convention No. 102 were substantiated.
