Contractual mechanism for regulating the gas market of the European Union

Abstract
The article deals with the legal mechanism of the European Union, which is a unique phenomenon and plays an important role in the regulation of integration processes in various areas defined in the documents. The legal mechanism of the European Union is based on the interaction of international contractual and institutional mechanisms. The peculiarities of the contractual mechanism are determined on the basis of international treaties, statutory acts and acts of secondary law of the European Union, some of which relate to the regulation of the natural gas market in the European Union, having a specialized character, while others regulate a number of other problems. The foundations of European energy policy, key norms and principles of energy are determined. The European Union is the most advanced example of international energy regulation. It is noted that the doctrine of the law of the European Union indicates the importance of the development of legal regulation of energy relations in the European Union for the development of international law.
