COVID-19 Pandemic and Mood Disorders in Children and Adolescents

Abstract

Coronavirus-19 pandemic is a worldwide public health problem which affects our country as well. The treatment of children and adolescents with existing mood disorders is affected by the pandemic and questions concerning the continuation of the treatment are being asked frequently. The pandemic and relevant precautions also trigger mood disorders. In this review, we aim to discuss the treatment of mood disorders, the effects of the drugs which are used for the existing mood disorders, impact on immune system, interactions with antiviral drugs for Severe Acute Respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.
