CREATIVE WORK WITH TEXT TASKS IN EDUCATION IN MATHEMATICS IN GRADES 1.-4

Abstract
The creative work with text tasks in the education in mathematics in the primary school is an important pre-condition for: improvement of the educational process; creation of possibilities for developing education and development of knowledge and skills in the students from competency cluster “Modelling”. Aim of the research work is to outline the directions for creative work with text tasks and to develop methodological options for practical work in education in mathematics for Grades 1.-4. Object of the research work is the process of education in mathematics for Grades 1.-4. Subject of the research work is the effect of the applied combined productive and reproductive strategies, their respective approaches and methods of work for development of knowledge, skills and competencies from competency cluster “Modelling” in the education in mathematics for Grades 1.-4. Through the newly developed methodology system of work. The research work presents some theoretical concepts related to: text tasks; stages in their solving; directions for improvement of the work with them and directions for creative work; problem-productive strategies of education and problem-solving process. The combination of the applied strategies, technologies, approaches and methods of work are described. During the experimental work the following methods were applied: experiment, observation, test, analysis of content, mathematical-statistical method for data processing. The experimental work was carried out with actual students in the Petco Rachov Slaveykov Primary school in Stara Zagora during the period 2016-2018. Initially, tests for Entry diagnostics were carried out. After applying the new methodology system of work Exit diagnostics was performed. The researchers did entry, current and exit observation of the work of the students. Mathematical-statistical processing of the results was performed. These results were presented in the report.
