CRIME AND UNEMPLOYMENT: CURRENT ACTUAL PROBLEMS AND RELATED INTERVENTIONS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of unemployment problems in Ukrainian society and crime, as well as their mutual influence. It is established that the crime as a negative social phenomenon directly linked to economic processes that occur in the state. Criminality is caused by various social processes and not only experiences such influence, but also affects social processes in a negative way. One of the most acute socio-economic problems of Ukraine is unemployment, which, at the present stage of development of the economy, acquired a mass character. It was noted that the criminogenic addiction, crime, unemployment in the brightest manifestation of the offences themselves unemployed. Conformities to law and tendencies of such criminality are there distinguished; reasons and terms concomitant to criminality of unemployed persons; personality properties and internals, and it affects bothun employment of these persons and on character committed crime by them; features of warning of similar crimes. Despite the abundance of publications of lawyers, economists, psychologists, sociologists, journalists on issues of economic, social and other consequences of unemployment, the problem, unfortunately, is far from being resolved. In the criminological problems of unemployment there are many aspects which are not studied by criminology experts in the field of criminal law, what, in fact, substantiates the relevance of the topic. The activities to be carried out with the aim of reducing the unemployment rate, and, consequently, the level of crime should include: to develop an extensive system of state employment service career guidance, training, retraining and advanced training of shots; to reform labour laws; to develop interaction of public administration with territorial communities, local self-government bodies to improve planning of the labour market; to create a single commonly available database of labor force; regulating the possibilities of employment abroad, joining Ukraine to the international labor market, etc.
