CRISIS OF PENITENTIARY REFORM IN UKRAINE: REASONS AND WAYS OF THEIR SOLUTION

Abstract
The article is an attempt to highlight the current problems of reforming the penitentiary system of Ukraine due to its transition to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice. The main causes of the crisis of the penitentiary system of Ukraine and the ways to solve them are determined in the article.
