Abstract

The article describes such quantitative and qualitative indicators of cross-border crime for the period of 2014–2018 has been provided. The rule of the so-called border security dilemma has been formulated. A methodological approach to determining the index of latency has been developed in the process of assessing the state of cross-border crime. The understanding of such notion as polymorphism has been substantiated and arguments in favour of its applicability for use in criminological practice has been presented.
