Cross-Layer Transmission Optimization Strategy in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract
To solve the problem that the wireless sensor networks( WSNs) had lower transmission efficiency currently,a WSNs transmission optimization strategy based on cross-layer access was proposed. By cross-layer access mechanism,virtual information interaction pipeline was used among each layer to realize information interaction between the layers directly. Moreover,the autonomic computing thought and feedback mechanism were introduced,and cross-layer access was used to acquire network layers status. The adaptive adjustment of network transmission was realized,and the efficiency of network transmission was improved. The simulation results show that the network transmission optimization strategy has a better performance in terms of enhancing transmission efficiency,balancing energy consumption of network and improving network performance than traditional layered-access mechanism.
