Crowdfunding scheme in journalism

Abstract
The media environment has evolved significantly in recent years. Technological as well as sociological impact of the Internet is one of the most influential factors putting into question old media management practices. In this changing scenario, the quest for new funding models of media including crowdfunded journalism is a priority both for journalists and for media managers. The purpose of the article is therefore to look at the mechanism of crowdfunded journalism. The paper introduces the logic of recent practices in funding journalism. Then it looks at the diverse landscape of crowdfunding projects.
