Abstract

Cuneiform documents in which, the name of the town, Tiliura (The Assyrian Trade Colonies: Tilimra) is mentioned, reveals the border policies during the periods of the Hittite Empire in northern regions. Tiliura is a strategic residential border district that is close to Kummešmaha river. Tiliura, which was ruled by “the Lord of Country”, is a pretty important city as “the regional management center”. Our research includes the documents and their contents of the Tiliura town as well as philological assessments.
