Journal Title: Biografistyka Pedagogiczna - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

The article shows and analyses an interviewee’s experiences from the border of life and death. He claims that he had many of them in his life. This paper discusses only ten of them, which occurred over thirty years of his life: 1) darkness and light; 2) out-of-body experience and walk; 3) balls of fi re and planets; 4) the view from space; 5) the fi ght against Satan; 6) encompassing darkness and fear; 7) a gap and a high tide; 8) drowning; 9) garden, fl owers in the meadow; 10) the heavenly Jerusalem. All of these experiences were also related to his attitudes, way of life, faith in God and its negation. The accounts also include educational values, showing the relationship of human life with two essential elements of this experience: love for people and knowledge gained. After these experiences from the border of life and death, the interviewee realized that: 1) life does not end with death; 2) God exists and is a merciful Father; 3) it is most important to love and respect all forms of life.
