Abstract
Various information about Danylo Hryhorovych Loboda, one of the most famous Ukrainian guitar gures of the beginning of the 20th century, has been examined in this article. Information about guitar communities, created by Loboda in Kyiv, is included as well. It analyses different aspects of it: repertoire, teaching methods, organology, and its social aspects. Special attention is payed to guitar ensembles with members of those communities, organized and directed by Loboda.
