Abstract
(Decebal in Harghita County) In 1987, in the Romanian County of Harghita characterized by total Hungarian majority the 10th Archeological and Trachian Studies conference was organized to promote the archeological proofs of the Daco-Roman continuity. In the respective period the county inhabited mostly by Hungarians was often criticized for not organizing programs that “truthfully represent the historical origins of the Romanian nation”. The essay presents the ways in which the organizational process of the conference refl ect the working mechanism of the socialist propaganda-machine.
